Clearing Your Cache in CrashPlan PROe

Step 1. Stop the CrashPlan service.

  1. Open the CrashPlan app.
  2. If necessary, sign in to your account.
  3. Use the keyboard shortcut for your operating system:
    • Windows: Ctrl+Shift+C
    • OS X: Option+Command+C
    • Linux: Ctrl+Shift+C
  4. The CrashPlan command-line area opens.
  5. Enter this command: 
  6. shutdown
  7. Press Enter.

Step 2. Navigate to the cache directory for your operating system:

   Windows

  • Windows: C:\ProgramData\CrashPlan\cache
  • To view this hidden folder, open Windows Explorer and paste the path in the address bar. If you installed per user, see the file and folder hierarchy for file locations.
   Mac OS X
  • Mac OS X: /Library/Caches/CrashPlan​
  • To view this hidden folder, open the Finder, press Command+Shift+G, and paste the path. If you installed per user, see the file and folder hierarchy.
   Linux
  • Linux: /usr/local/crashplan/cache​
  • Delete all files and folders found within this folder.

Step 3. Empty your device's trash.

Step 4. Start the CrashPlan service.
