EIT Help Desk is Hiring

The Engineering Information Technology (EIT) Help Desk Team is currently accepting applications for an IT Coordinator. This position serves on the Engineering Help Desk Team and provides a variety of professional IT services for the majority of the College of Engineering and the departments of Math and Physics. This position will be involved with all aspects of computing activities in a multi-organization, multi-vendor environment.

 Primary Functions:

1. Manage and maintain daily operations within the service desk (detailed below);
2. Manage and maintain administrative and infrastructure projects supporting other department staff, faculty, graduate students, and their research groups (detailed below);
3. Provide in-house training to student technicians (detailed below).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in Windows 10
• At least 3 years hands-on experience with hardware replacement
• Self discipline to follow up and follow through
• Possess strong consulting and customer support skills to resolve a variety of IT problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Preferences:

• Google Apps/Gmail experience.
• Familiarity with Linux is desired.
• Familiarity with Mac OS X is desired.
• Hands-on experience with computing hardware is desired.
• Experience with Windows server operating systems is desired.
