A Message From Wallace Loh
April 24, 2014View a short video of the exciting things happening this spring at the University.
We are in the midst of our third annual 30 Days of EnTERpreneurshp. The campus is pulsing with our talented students' Fearless Ideas that will make a social or economic impact, or both.
Today, we cut the ribbon to open officially our stunning new Physical Sciences Complex, which will usher in a new era of scientific discovery and innovation.
Innovations are also happening throughout the humanities. For example, we are bringing the arts to the community, with a new program that brings young artists to our neighborhoods.
This Saturday, there will be a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center. This state-of-the-art facility will enable the transformation of learning and teaching with technology-mediated innovations.
This Saturday is also the 16th annual Maryland Day with over 450 free events, demonstrations, and performances that showcase our great flagship University. It will be a glorious spring day. I look forward to seeing you here.
If you are unable to come, I encourage you to share your personal videos or photos of your ordinary and extraordinary moments. We want to see what is important to you -- your work, your family and friends, your passion. Help us create a mini-documentary showing the impact Terps are having all over the globe on Maryland Day.
