About Us
Engineering Information Technology (EIT) provides information technology resources and support to the faculty, staff, and students of the A. James Clark School of Engineering to advance the School's teaching and research goals. We work with the University's DIT and local Information Technology staff on strategic operation, planning and deployment of IT activities and School initiatives. With about 30 full-time employees and over 100 students, we strive to help our community reach its goals with technology ranging from the latest digital fabrication tools to powerful knowledgebases.
Our Development Unit provides web and application development expertise for a number of different audiences ranging from the School of Engineering and ssociated Departments to special research projects. Our digital team supports most of our web properties and an increasing number of cloud based developments.
The Engineering Copy Center offers the latest technology document reproduction, scanning, binding and media services to the university community for nearly 30 years. We offer special discounts for student organizations and guarantee outstanding service at competitive prices.
Our Instructional Technology groups provides a wide range of instructional support to our faculty. Instructional support include support of the learning management system (Canvas) and various AV systems. This group also supports the Siegel Learning Center (SLC) which has 7 studio classrooms outfitted with the latest technology for remotely delivering instruction.
Our IT Operations Unit provides Information technology support for the faculty, staff, and students of the A. James Clark School of Engineering as well as the Departments of Math and Physics from the College of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences. They provide support from a Service desk located in Martin Hall 0123 and through a number of remote channels.
Terrapin Works provides rapid prototyping, advanced manufacturing, and digital design resources as a service to the campus and surrounding community. These resources include 100+ 3D printers and other advanced fabrication tools spread across nearly 20 spaces across campus.
