University of Maryland Students Are Going Google!

The University of Maryland student e-mail system is undergoing a transformation. Based on the recommendations made by the Student E-mail Committee, which is composed of students, faculty, and staff, the university has determined that it will provide e-mail and scheduling services via Google’s Gmail and also make available other collaboration tools in the Google Apps suite.

Maryland’s new student e-mail system will be called TERPmail. While students will have the use of other Google Apps when logged into TERPmail, the University of Maryland Office of Information Technology only supports the students’ use of the e-mail and calendar features of TERPmail.
