Clark School provides WiFi to Campus Shuttle Buses
April 26, 2011Through a partnership with the Vice President of Student Affairs and the Department of Transportation Services, the Clark School has deployed over 60 mobile WiFi devices to campus shuttle buses.
All riders with WiFi enabled smart phones, IPads, Ipods, or laptops can use the installed WiFi Hotspots to access campus services while enroute to or from campus.
The HotSpots, which were made available via a longstanding relationship with CLEARWIRE, allow students to access the internet while traveling. In a recent conversation, Ms. Beulah Vasanthi Daniel, Assistant Director – IT, Department of Transportation Services, mentioned that the service is available on all of the campus shuttle buses and that response has been very positive. The Department of Transportation Services has approximately 60 shuttle buses in use, servicing over 2.6 million riders each year.
